Suit’em Up Blackjack Review – The Game at a Glance

Scott Lawson Written By Scott Lawson Published on 02.08.2018 Last Updated on 06.06.2024

If you’re familiar with any of FELT Gaming’s table offerings you’ll know many of its games are a pretty safe bet in terms of quality, safety and design. This game is no exception, featuring a calming deep blue felted table backdrop, slick gameplay and plenty of side bet options. You can play Suit’em Up Blackjack at many online casinos, but I would recommend you check out my top pick down below.

When searching for a game to play, it’s important to be smart and weigh your options. There are so many game variants out there that it’s impossible to consider them all; one tip I would give any newcomer to a table game is to play the free demo. Playing for free allows you to get comfy with the rules, side bets, strategies and little quirks of the game without risking your money should you not like or understand the game. Best to make the first few mistakes without the pressure of losing your own dosh. Play a few hands on the free demo below that I was nice enough to include in this Suit’em Up Blackjack review.

Not only is it wise to take the above step, it is also fun. Slightly less thrilling, but equally important are the game rules. The Suit’em Up Blackjack rules are fairly standard as the base game follows the normal rules of blackjack, however, there are a plethora of side bet options that can be a little confusing to understand along with rules particular to this developer and game. I’ll do my best to break these down for you below.

The Suit’em Up Blackjack Rules and Features

The Suit’em Up Blackjack game is reasonably easy to understand if you’re familiar with other variants of the card game. If you’re not, feel free to take a wee study break to peruse my full blackjack review. In all FELT blackjack games, you have the opportunity to play three hands at one time which makes things a little faster and more interesting, although this is sadly not possible if you’re playing Suit’em Up Blackjack online on your mobile. This game is played with six full decks of cards with the standard payout of 3:2. The dealer must stand on a soft 17 and split aces can be hit (a rarity), the game’s RTP is a reassuringly high 99.63%, ever in the player’s favour.

Played in all the big casinos in Vegas (according to the game rules), this variant has a lot going for it as shown in the table above. Allow me to explain a few of the finer points: Insurance is a bet offered only if the dealer’s first card is an ace – increasing the likelihood they will get 21 with their first two cards and thus win the hand. You can bet that the dealer will get blackjack and protect your money, 50% of your bet will be placed on the active hand additionally. If the dealer does get an Ace and another card valued to 10, this bet pays 2:1 but if not, your bet will be taken away. This bet does not affect the outcome of the hand. As a general rule, I would not recommend making side bets as the payout rates of these are lower than the base game payouts as you will see below.

The Suit’em Up Side Bet Series

Before I get into the side bets, I would just like to point out that in the case of all side bets, the RTP of any game is affected. In this case, the base RTP of 99.63% is reduced to 95.35%, something worth considering before you invest too heavily here. Predictably, the side bets in the Suit’em Up Blackjack game are all related to suits. There are five types of side bet in this game, including Suited Blackjack which pays 10:1 on your bet if you are dealt 21 and both cards are of the same suit. Two slightly more likely options are Suited Pair, which pays 5:1 should your cards be a matching pair and Suited Eleven with 3:1 in the event the combined total of your two cards is 11 and they are of the same suit. Paying between 50:1 for Suited Aces and 2:1 for Suited Other, the winning opportunities come in all sizes (and likelihoods). Again, I would just view side bets as a bit of fun to spice up your regular play and not a serious money betting option as the RTP is much lower than regular bets.
