Mokbar’s Esther Choi Set to Join Caesars Palace’s Food Hall
The Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace will soon be serving food from a superstar chef.
Esther Choi has been tapped up to run an outpost of her well-reviewed New York restaurant Mokbar at the Las Vegas casino site.
Choi, who is best known for featuring on the popular TV cooking show Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, has been working in restaurants since the age of just 14.
The 38-year-old announced the birth of a baby boy to her 378,000 Instagram followers earlier in the year, but she will be heading to one of the top casinos on the Las Vegas Strip shortly.
Her kitchen will be located next to Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy, giving Caesars Palace casino customers another elite culinary option away from the tables.
What’s on Choi’s Mokbar Menu?
Choi will serve a Korean food menu to visitors at her Las Vegas restaurant, showing off her education from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York.
She said she will be “combining traditional and modern takes on Korean cuisine”. Items that are likely to be on the menu at Choi’s new Caesars Palace venue include the likes of:
- Pan-fried dumplings
- Buns
- Fried chicken
- Ramen
- Rice bowls
- Bibimbap
- Bulgogi bowls
Drinks like iced teas, soju cocktails and beer will also be available at the new restaurant.
Various rich ramen flavours and multiple rice bowl options will be available, said a statement released to announce Choi’s move to the Las Vegas casino property.
It read: “The Bulgogi Bowl will feature thinly sliced ribeye marinated in K-BBQ sauce with sauteed carrots, onions, duo seasonal kimchi, poached egg, scallions and sesame seeds. The Salmon Avocado Bowl will include seared marinated salmon, avocado, crispy tofu, mixed greens, cucumber, pickled daikon and furikake, and be served with a ginger scallion dressing.”
All Change at Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace
Choi’s new restaurant at the Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace will take over the space that has been vacated by Tiger Wok & Ramen’s.
She is the latest celebrity chef to be booked to open a restaurant at the casino, which aims to become a culinary hub on the Strip.
Later this year, Buddy V’s Pizzeria will be opened by Buddy Valastro at the Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace – replacing DiFara Pizza – and Tortazo by Rick Bayless is on the way too.
Caesars Palace already has a huge range of bars and restaurants for patrons to pick from.
The top Las Vegas casino is the venue for one of Gordon Ramsay’s six Vegas restaurants, as well as allowing visitors to have a seat at Martha Stewart’s table at The Bedford.
