Many of Greentube’s Games Will Become Available to Pennsylvania Players
A challenger has entered the ring: Novomatic Interactive subsidiary Greentube has revealed that it has been granted a license to begin offering its content services to operators currently active in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Interactive Gaming Manufacturer license will give Greentube the green light to make and finalize deals with igaming operators who are up and running in the Keystone State’s increasingly crowded betting market.
Popular games stemming from the business’s wide-ranging portfolio, which includes fan favorites such as Diamond Cash and the Thunder Cash series, will now be made available state-wide to players interested in playing the games.
Deal Comes On Toes Of Previous Content Acquisition Deals for Greentube
Speaking on the matter was Greentube Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Michael Bauer, who noted how being awarded the operator’s license to run its services in the state of Pennsylvania was an important symbolic achievement for the operator:
“Receiving a license to offer our market-leading content in Pennsylvania is another important milestone for Greentube as it continues to expand its presence across North America.”– Michael Bauer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Greentube,Press Release
Bauer continued by claiming Greentube continues to be excited by the prospect of working together with operators active in the state of Pennsylvania in order to deliver the best possible content to players:
“We are looking forward to working alongside operators within the state to serve players with our unique brand of entertaining content.”
The announcement of Greentube being awarded an operator’s license in Pennsylvasnia arrives hot on the heels of a number of previously announced strategic deals from the operator designed to enhance its content creation capabilities.
Just recently in December 2022, Greentube revealed that it would be buying a 40% stake in the Flamingocatz studio to support the business’s expansion into the North American gambling market. This followed the October 2022 revelation that the company would be buying US development studio Present Creative as part of a similar expansionist strategy.
Greentube Bought Large Stake in Flamingocatz Back in December 2022
As previously mentioned, Greentube purchased a 40% stake in Flamingocatz in December 2022, with the move coming as part of its long-term strategy of increasing its footing in the North American gambling market.
Greentube and Flamingocatz are now working closely together on building custom-made content for Greentube’s increasingly bulky portfolio. Four new games are currently in development, with expected launch dates coming in 2023.
Greentube chief financial officer Michael Bauer championed Flamingocatz’s team for their expertise and seasoned industry experience, seeing a fruitful future ahead for the two collaborators:
“We remain committed to growing our presence in North America and through this joint venture with Flamingocatz, we will further strengthen our capabilities, working with a talented and very experienced team who sits on a lot of local knowledge. Having a laser focus on what local players desire is paramount to us and this partnership will help us execute our growth strategy in the US and Canada.”– Michael Bauer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Greentube,Press Release
As for Flamingocatz, co-founder Job Spiero clarified that the scale and distribution capabilities at Greentube’s disposal are just the right tools Flamingocatz needs to properly support the studio’s one of a kind games:
“We are very excited to work on this new studio together with Greentube and we could not have hoped for a better partner to go into the Americas. With Greentube’s vast experience in distribution, placement, and marketing of games and Flamingocatz’s ‘outside of the box’ way of creating games, we have very high hopes for this partnership.”– Job Spiero,Co-Founder, Flamingocatz,Press Release
Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) and Bet365 Stepped Into Pennsylvania Market in January 2023
Remaining in Pennsylvania, in January 2023 online casino and retail casino giant Bet365 announced that it was expanding into the state thanks to an exclusive online sports betting and iGaming market access deal it secured with Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI).
The deal was actually made between Bet365 and CDI’s subsidiary Presque Isle Downs & Casino and comes as part of Churchill Downs’ desire to slowly distance itself from the online sports and casino industry. CDI will nevertheless keep its retail sportsbook operations within its retail casino properties going in the state.
A Bet365 spokesperson made sure to note that the operator’s deal with Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) was just the beginning of its dealings with Pennsylvania, promising fans more to come in the near future:
“Off the heels of our launch in Ohio, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with CDI. Once live, the world’s favorite online sports betting brand will be available to sports fans in Pennsylvania, offering fantastic site features, including bet boosts, same-game parlay, cash out and edit bet, on top of our market-leading sign-up offer.”
